Friends of the
Interlochen Public Library
The Friends of the Interlochen Public library meeting the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 am in the Library Conference Room except for in June because of the annual book sale and in September when they hold their annual business meeting and potluck at the hall next door to the library.

To become a member of the Friends:
Just fill out and send in a membership form to the library. Annual membership dues are reasonable and entitle you to receive the Friends' newsletter. If you are interested in volunteering as a Friend, there is a place on the membership form to indicate your area(s) of interest. Click on the link below for a copy of the membership form.

Annual fundraising activities include:
- ICA Concerto Concert in February
- Plant sale at Ric's in May
- Huge book sale in June
- Holiday book sale in December
- Children's holiday party in December
- Mitten Tree in December (donated hats and mittens are given to children in need at Interlochen Community School)
Annual events supported by Friends include:
- Summer Reading Club (runs for 6 weeks each summer)
- Three-week Summer Arts & Crafts program
- All adult programs
- Books used by book discussion group
Support for library includes but is not limited to assistance with:
- Purchase of new books, reference materials and movies, especially for children's area
- Purchase of new shelving, furniture and office equipment
- Artwork and redecorating projects
